About the role
Join BreastScreen SA as a Senior Medical Practitioner and play a vital role in supporting the early detection and diagnosis of breast cancer for women across South Australia. Working within a multidisciplinary assessment team, you will provide clinical assessment, follow-up care and counselling for clients with screen-detected breast abnormalities, ensuring women receive expert, compassionate and timely care throughout their assessment journey.
This rewarding role combines advanced clinical practice with leadership, education and service improvement. You will contribute to program and policy development, provide advice and support to women navigating breast health concerns, and build strong partnerships with general practitioners, healthcare professionals and the wider community. Through your expertise, empathy and commitment to women's health, you will help deliver a high-quality screening and assessment service that makes a meaningful difference to the lives of South Australian women.
About You
You are an experienced medical practitioner with a passion for women's health, patient-centred care and supporting positive health outcomes through early detection and diagnosis.
- MBBS and Specialist registration with the Medical Board
- Extensive experience in women's health and clinical practice
- Provide compassionate assessment, counselling and support
- Build strong partnerships across multidisciplinary teams
- Contribute to education, service improvement and advocacy
