Cranks Carbon & Fibreglass is a small family business with a solid, long-term client base specialising in professional fibreglass surface detailing, fibreglass and gel coat repairs, and and surface re spraying services for theme park operators.

The role
We're looking for an experienced fibreglass and gel coat technician to step into a leading hand position. You'll work hands-on alongside a small team, guiding and mentoring labourers while delivering high-quality repairs and respray work across a diverse range of fibreglass surfaces — from large panels and ride components to boats and other fibreglass structures for our theme park clients.
Key responsibilities
- Fibreglass repairs and gel coat restoration across theme park assets, boats, panels, and general fibreglass items
- Respraying and surface finishing to a professional standard
- Leading, guiding and mentoring a small team of labourers on site
- Managing materials, workflow, and on-site quality control
- Multitasking across concurrent jobs and communicating clearly with management and clients
What we're looking for
- Minimum 2 years' hands-on experience in fibreglass and/or gel coat work
- Background in panel beating, boat building, fibreglass detailing, or gel coat application highly regarded
- Demonstrated ability to lead a small team with confidence and professionalism
- Excellent communication skills — with the team and with clients
- Physically fit and able to work in varied site environments
