Receptionist / Administration Assistant – Podiatry Clinic
Location: Location: Kings Park, NSW 2148 (primary location), with occasional shifts at our Wallacia clinic.
Position: Part-time
We are looking for a friendly, organised, and reliable Receptionist / Administration Assistant to join our growing podiatry practice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys helping people, thrives in a busy environment, and takes pride in providing exceptional customer service.
About the Role
As the first point of contact for our patients, you'll play an important role in creating a positive experience from the moment they walk through the door. You'll work closely with our podiatrists to ensure the clinic runs smoothly and efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Welcoming patients and providing outstanding customer service
- Managing appointments, bookings, and clinician schedules
- Answering phone calls and responding to emails
- Processing payments, Medicare and health fund claims
- Maintaining accurate patient records
- General administrative duties, including filing, scanning, and correspondence
- Keeping the reception and waiting areas tidy and welcoming
- Assisting with stock ordering and other day-to-day clinic tasks
- Meeting KPIs
- Liaising with podiatrists and other healthcare providers.
- Assisting with the day-to-day running of the clinic.
- Supporting both our Kings Park and, on occasion, our Wallacia clinic.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Is organised, efficient, and able to multitask
- Is confident using computers and learning new software
- Has strong attention to detail
- Enjoys working as part of a team while also being self-motivated
- Presents professionally and has a warm, caring manner. A positive, friendly and attitude.
- Remains calm and positive in a busy environment
- Previous reception or administration experience (medical reception experience is highly regarded but not essential).
- Desirable (but not essential):
- Previous reception or administration experience
- Experience in a medical or allied health practice
- Familiarity with Medicare/HICAPS processing
- A current driver's licence and reliable transport (preferred).
- A willingness to travel to our Wallacia clinic when required.
