About the role
We have an opportunity for a lawyer (1-2 year PQE) or associate (2-4 year PQE) to join our Health team on a fulltime basis.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Defending claims for negligence against doctors, nurses, hospitals, and health services; and
- Gathering medical evidence, investigating liability, and assessing quantum of the claim; and
- Opportunities to assist in coronial inquests/investigations.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- A Bachelor of Laws (or equivalent) and a current New South Wales practising certificate
- Experience in defendant medical negligence litigation and coronial inquests
- Experience managing litigated matters across a variety of jurisdictions
- Client-facing experience, with the ability to understand and manage client needs
- A commercial approach, with the ability to articulate advice clearly and negotiate effectively
- Excellent technical skills, with the ability to manage a busy workload
