Learning Enhancement Aide

Our Girls' Secondary School is currently looking for a Learning Enhancement Aid. This is a fixed term, part time role until March 2027, with the possibility of extension.
The role offers 0.6 FTE, 22.8 hours per week across Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays though this is flexible and can be negotiated.
More about the role:
- To support the special needs of students with their physical, emotional and learning requirements
- Be responsible for coordinating with the relevant school staff to ensure all needs are met
- To make themselves and the students they are assisting, a part of the whole class setting rather than an isolated unit within the classroom
- Assist the students with adaptive/assistive technology if need be
- Assist with creating alternate tasks for the students
- Taking notes and providing administrative support to ensure adherence maintained
About you:
- A good ability to work independently and take initiative to plan and complete tasks
- Previous experience will be required working with children/students with specialised and complex learning needs
- Previous experience in an administrative role within a school is highly advantageous
- Experience working in social work or counselling/teaching will be advantageous
- A sound understanding of the Child Safe Standards and a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children
