Primary objective
Ensure quality outcomes for all Clinical recruitment and on-boarding processes by providing expert and specialised on-boarding knowledge
and high level advice to managers, staff and clinical recruits in the East Arnhem Regional Health Service (EARHS), in line with policy and
legislative requirements of the Northern Territory.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Coordinate the planning/logistical arrangements for the recruitment and on boarding of new employees, e.g. advertising, recruitment
panel activities, accommodation, IT access, uniform and associated requirements.
2. Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with key internal/external stakeholders to ensure programs and policies are
appropriate and reflect changing requirements
3. Engage with potential and new employees and provide a positive and welcoming experience to the EARHS.
4. Manage monthly bulk recruitment for EARHS, provide advice on recruitment, and support to selection panels.
5. Develop, implement and embed procedures for the efficient and effective operation of recruitment and on boarding.
6. Assist with a range of procurement functions such as purchasing, coding and processing of credit card transactions in relation to
recruitment and onboarding activities, or as requested.
7. Support the development of staff travel plans and facilitate the travel bookings to maintain clinical service delivery.
8. Provide specialist administrative support and training to other Employment Service officers.
9. Provide information and assistance with HR processes to Clinical Manager re commencement, advertising, higher duties allowance,
staff movements, eligibility for other allowance etc.
10. Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in
order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
11. Foster a positive workplace culture through exemplary leadership practices and role modelling behaviour.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Demonstrated advanced time management and organisational skills – able to think and act strategically, analyse data, initiate/adapt to
change and complete tasks within tight deadlines.
2. Well-developed research and analytical skills, and ability to use initiative to identify opportunities for improvement and resolve
problems.
3. Demonstrated leadership skills - able to resolve conflict, and ability to win and maintain trust and respect.
4. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and with minimal supervision.
5. Proven interpersonal, communication skills (oral and written) and be able to function in a discrete, confidential and polite manner
within a diverse cross-cultural work environment.
6. Proven customer service experience and an understanding of the complexities of service delivery issues in relation to rural and remote
communities throughout the East Arnhem Region.
7. Advanced computer competency and the ability to troubleshoot within multiple programmes.
Desirable
1. Demonstrated working knowledge of East Arnhem Region localities, health services and relevant systems
2. Certificate IV/Diploma or above in field of Human Resources/Business Administration/Public Administration or similar
