YOUTH TEACHERS
We offer youth classes on Saturday mornings from 09:00 – 11:45, at St Peter’s Lutheran College, Indooroopilly.
We are currently looking for teachers with the following qualifications and skills:
- Native-speaker of German or equivalent level of language proficiency, with an extensive understanding of German culture
- Self motivated
- Excellent time management and planning skills
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Experience in teaching German (especially grammar) to secondary level and youth from 10 years of age
- German degree or equivalent A2 teaching experience
- Valid Blue Card for Working with Children (or ability to obtain one)
- High level written and verbal communication skills (both English and German)
Staff members will need to be responsible for the progress, assessment, welfare and discipline of the students and develop constructive relationships with students, parents and fellow staff.
As we are a community school, we hold fundraising events throughout the year. Your participation in these events may also be required.
Please note: Our school is not suitable for Internships because of limited teaching hours and Summer school holidays in Australia are from December – January.
