As part of our continued growth and recent project awards, we are experiencing continued growth and are seeking experienced Senior Contracts Administrators to join our civil project delivery teams. In this role, you will be responsible for the effective commercial and contractual management of projects, including contract preparation, cost control, progress claims, variations, and subcontractor engagement. This position offers the opportunity to work on significant civil projects within a collaborative, high-performing, and professional team environment.
To be considered for this position as a Senior Contracts Administrator you must possess the following as a minimum:
- Tertiary Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management or similar suitable qualifications
- Proven experience as a Contracts Administrator (or similar role) within the civil sector
- A solid understanding of earthmoving plant and equipment
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
- A solid understanding to financial management and month end reporting
- Proficiency in data entry and documentation
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
As a Senior Contracts Administrator, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Managing the commercial and contractual functions of the project in a timely and efficient manner
- Ensuring consistent application of the company’s commercial policies and procedures
- Management of head contract requirements for project delivery
- Training and development of staff in commercial and contract administration
- Overseeing cost engineering, including cost reporting and financial forecasting
- Preparing monthly progress claims for completed works
- Assisting with the preparation and issue of RFQs (Requests for Quotation) for subcontractors and suppliers
- Leading negotiations with shortlisted subcontractors and suppliers, and preparing formal contract documentation
- Preparation and submission of monthly commercial report to company executives
