About The Role
As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will provide high-quality, strategic and commercially pragmatic legal advice across a broad range of commercial matters. You will support effective decision-making, manage legal and business risk, and help the organisation achieve its operational and strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities:

Provide legal advice on commercial matters including IT agreements, procurement, confidentiality, SLAs, B2B agreements and tenders.

Draft, review and negotiate contracts and other legal documentation.

Identify, assess and mitigate legal and commercial risks in business initiatives.

Engage and negotiate with external parties including regulators and external counsel.

Maintain current knowledge of relevant legislation and industry developments.

Ensure alignment with governance frameworks, regulatory obligations and risk appetite.

Support audit, compliance and internal governance processes as required.

Identify and implement process improvements, templates and standardisation to improve efficiency and consistency.

Work collaboratively with property legal team members to manage leasing workload peaks, including taking carriage of suitable leasing matters.
About You
We're seeking an experienced commercial lawyer with strong technical expertise, commercial judgement and a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach. You'll be comfortable working across a broad range of matters and balancing legal risk with commercial outcomes while building credibility as a trusted adviser across the business.
Qualifications and Experience

Minimum 8 years post-qualification experience (PQE).

Experience in-house or within a firm advising corporate clients.

Strong expertise in commercial and contract law.
