About the role
As the Grade 4 (Lead) Pharmacist – General Medicine, you will lead the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred clinical pharmacy services across our General Medicine program. Combining advanced clinical practice with people leadership, you will provide clinical care, mentor and support pharmacists, and drive service improvement initiatives that enhance patient outcomes.
As part of our Pharmacy leadership team, you will contribute to the development of innovative clinical pharmacy services within a collaborative, future-focused environment. In return, you'll be supported to further develop your leadership skills while helping shape the future of pharmacy services at RMH.
Key Accountabilities
Deliver high-quality clinical pharmacy services and patient care.
Assess, plan and optimise medication management for patients.
Lead, mentor and support pharmacists, technicians, interns and students.
Coordinate the General Medicine pharmacy team to achieve patient-centred outcomes and KPIs.
Drive quality improvement, medication safety and quality use of medicines initiatives.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and key stakeholders across RMH.
Contribute to on-call, after-hours and weekend pharmacy services.
About You
You are an experienced hospital pharmacist with a strong clinical background and a passion for leading people and improving services. You thrive in a collaborative environment, enjoy mentoring others, and are committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
You will bring:
Current registration as a pharmacist with AHPRA.
A Master of Clinical Pharmacy (or equivalent postgraduate qualification).
Extensive experience delivering clinical pharmacy services, including a minimum of eight years' experience in hospital pharmacy.
Demonstrated experience leading, supervising and developing a team.
Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A commitment to innovation, quality improvement and the ongoing development of clinical pharmacy services.
