Support Worker – SIL Home, Pacific Pines

About the Role
We are seeking qualified, experienced, reliable, and calm support workers to join our team supporting a participant with complex needs in a Supported Independent Living (SIL) home in Pacific Pines. This is a high-intensity support role covering personal care, mealtime assistance, and behaviour support. Prior experience supporting participants with mental health needs is essential.

Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with all daily living tasks
- Personal care and hoist transfers
- Mealtime assistance
- Implementing behaviour support strategies in line with the participant's BSP
- Supporting a participant with developmental delay and mental health needs
- Repositioning, pressure area care, and maintaining skin integrity
- Monitoring safety due to impulsive movements and falls risk
- Calm, trauma-informed communication at all times
- Creating a low-stimulus, supportive home environment
- Maintaining accurate, timely progress notes and documentation
Client Needs
- Comfortable and confident working with high-intensity care
- Able to follow step-by-step communication and behaviour strategies
- Committed to maintaining the participant's dignity, respect, and professionalism at all times
Requirements
- Qualified staff only — Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, or similar
- Demonstrated experience supporting participants with mental health needs (essential)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Blue Card (Working with Children Check – QLD)
- Yellow Card (NDIS Worker Screening – QLD)
- National Police Check
- First Aid & CPR certification
- Current Driver's Licence and reliable car (essential)
- Experience with high-intensity supports (preferred)
- Confidence using hoists (training provided if required)
- Ability to stay calm, patient, and follow step-by-step instructions
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude
- Reliability and consistency — these are non-negotiable
