Journey Community Connections is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to join our team for an IMMEDIATE START.
We are looking for people with a genuine passion for assisting others and experience supporting neurodivergent children and young people, including individuals with complex support needs.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Current unrestricted driver licence
- Reliable and roadworthy vehicle
- Comprehensive vehicle insurance
- Experience supporting neurodivergent children and young people
- Experience and confidence with manual handling and mobility assistance
- Ability to safely follow individual manual handling procedures and support plans
- A genuine passion for supporting and assisting people
- Ability to remain calm, patient and consistent during challenging situations
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Reliability, professionalism and a strong work ethic

Experience with autism, ADHD, FASD, neurological disabilities, epilepsy, complex behaviours, personal care and manual handling will be highly regarded.
