FULLTIME CHEF – LATE NIGHT TABLE - YASHIKTAK
Location: 16–22 George St, North Strathfield NSW 2137
Salary: $77,000 per year + superannuation
About the Role
The Chef will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting a wide range of
Korean and fusion dishes to a high standard. This role requires strong technical
skills, creativity, and the ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced kitchen environment.
Key Duties
- Prepare ingredients including washing, chopping, trimming, and marinating meats, seafood, and vegetables
- Cook and present dishes according to restaurant standards
- Prepare Korean and fusion dishes including grilled items, hot pots, fried chicken, and pasta
- Create sauces, condiments, and side dishes
- Ensure quality, consistency, and timely delivery of food items
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment
- Manage stock rotation, storage, and inventory
- Minimise waste and optimise ingredient usage
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
- Follow strict food safety and hygiene standards
- Assist with training junior kitchen staff
Requirements
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or higher (required)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Chef (required)
- Experience in both Asian and Western cuisine (preferred)
- Strong understanding of Korean flavours and cooking techniques
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
- Knowledge of food safety and WHS standards
- Reliability, teamwork, and strong attention to detail
Pay: $77,000.00 per year
