We are looking for an experienced and passionate Motorcycle Mechanic to join our workshop at Maxx Motorcycles in Eltham. In this role, you will handle general mechanical repairs, diagnostic work, and tyre fitting across all major makes and models. Because we actively buy, source, and sell pre-owned motorbikes (with a strong focus on Hondas and metric models), you will also be responsible for conducting thorough safety inspections and reconditioning used stock to prepare them for retail sale.
- Logbook Servicing & Diagnostics: Perform general mechanical maintenance, electronic diagnostic checks, fault finding, and standard tuning on multi-brand motorbikes.
- Used Inventory & Sales Prep: Perform comprehensive pre-purchase and roadworthy-style inspections on incoming trade-ins and used motorbikes to determine reconditioning needs.
- Routine Repairs & Fittings: Handle tyre fitting, brake replacements, chain/sprocket kits, fork seal rebuilds, and aftermarket accessory installations.
- Specialist Restorations: Assist with or prepare aluminium parts for our specialized in-house vapour blasting restoration services.
- Test Riding: Safely test-ride customer and dealership motorbikes around Victoria roads to confirm repair quality and safety standards.
- Workshop Upkeep: Keep your workspace clean, manage fluids safely in compliance with Victorian environmental standards, and accurately track parts used on work orders.
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
