4. Develop systems for efficient routine support activities, configuration changes and system updates that do not put the TGen power
generation systems at risk.
5. Develop, review and implement system management policy, procedures and standards for effective system management, including
privacy, confidentiality and data security. Ensure appropriate security, access and use of information systems.
6. Manage the TGEN’s on site Data Historian System to ensure operation data is available to the business for operational decision making
and reporting.
7. Liaise with other Corporation staff, system vendors, outsourced contractors and other stakeholders regarding system enhancement
and development.
8. Carry out duties in accordance with Territory Generation’s safety, environmental and quality policies, safety principles, corporate
values and strategies.
This role may require travel to various locations within the Northern Territory and be available for on-call duties on a rotational roster.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Degree in Electrical or Electronics engineering or similar.
2. Ability to provide expert technical advice and operational management support for the SCADA and related control systems in use
in the power generation sites, including for the update, maintenance and effective operation of these systems.
3. Sound knowledge of the applications of safe systems of work including access permitting arrangements and systems, and a
demonstrated commitment to safety and safe working practices.
4. High level knowledge and understanding of power generation control systems, SCADA and related control systems used in the
operation of power stations.
5. Demonstrated knowledge of control systems for the operational functions of 24/7/365 power generation sites, including
coordinating operations and supporting activities to maximise system uptime.
6. Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact effectively with different
stakeholders and people of diverse cultures.
7. NT Driver’s licence or ability to obtain one.
8. Ability to carry out duties in accordance with Territory Generation’s safety, environmental and quality policies and corporate values
