About this role
As a Manager in our Management Consulting team, you will be responsible for providing advice to organisations to deliver performance improvement in a timely and efficient manner, including identifying client needs and developing solutions which align to the client’s strategy and business requirements, and also effectively managing client stakeholders and the delivery team.
Key responsibilities
- Understand clients’ businesses and apply specialist knowledge and management consulting skills to diagnose client issues and provide performance improvement solutions that meet clients’ needs.
- Actively engage with the client, building rapport, providing guidance and developing trust in order to deliver successful project results.
- Evaluate and analyse client financial performance, processes, systems and organisational structures.
- Develop clear initiatives with structured approaches that lead to solutions aligned to business requirements and strategic direction.
- Provide recommendations and proposals to revise methods, processes and procedures to support growth and resolve organisational problems.
- Implement and deliver approved recommendations.
- Review and quality check findings and recommendations in the context of the client’s broader business environment.
- Contribute to the continual development of the quality management within the team.
- Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Stay up to date with relevant industry trends and best practices.
Skills & experience
- Previous experience in a management consultant role, working for a professional services firm preferred. Retail/FMCG experience would be advantageous.
- MBA or Masters degree in relevant area.
- Demonstrated advisory, project management or business partnering experience.
- Experience in change management and organisational development.
- Creditable business operations knowledge with the ability to anticipate changes in the external market and identify opportunities.
- Proven ability to engage with clients on consulting engagements.
- Proven ability to manage the delivery of complex projects.
- Ability to engage diverse stakeholder groups across all levels of client businesses.
- Proven analytical, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Have a strong output focus with exceptional attention to detail and organisation skills.
- Demonstrated leadership skills including training, coaching and mentoring.
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis, project management methodologies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
