Kairos Medical Group
Kairos Medical Group is a values-led medical centre in Merrylands, part of the broader Kairos Group of healthcare and support services. We care for a diverse, multicultural Western Sydney community and take a genuinely person-centred, team-based approach to health and wellbeing. Our GPs work closely with allied health to make sure patients get coordinated, accessible care under one roof. We’re now welcoming a Psychologist to join our team on a permanent part-time basis to support patients referred under a Mental Health Care Plan.
The role
You’ll provide evidence-based psychological therapy to adults (and, where suited to your scope, adolescents) referred by our GPs under the Better Access initiative. Sessions are bulk billed, so patients can access mental health support with no out-of-pocket cost — a core part of how we serve our community. Flexible part-time hours (days negotiable; we’re happy to build a roster around your availability) Established GP referral base, so you can focus on clinical work, not chasing your own caseload On-site administrative, reception and bookings support A warm, collaborative team that values your clinical judgement
Key responsibilities
Conduct psychological assessments and deliver evidence-based interventions (e.g. CBT, ACT) for patients referred under a Mental Health Care Plan Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and provide GP feedback letters as required under Better AccessWork collaboratively with referring GPs and the wider care team Practise within your scope, the APS Code of Ethics and AHPRA standards Contribute to a supportive, ethical and patient-centred clinic culture
About you
Full registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA (general or clinical endorsement) A current Medicare provider number (or eligibility to obtain one) to deliver bulk-billed Better Access services Current professional indemnity insurance and a valid Working with Children Check Strong assessment, formulation and therapy skills across common presentations (anxiety, depression, stress, adjustment, trauma) Warm, culturally responsive and comfortable working with a diverse community Reliable, organised and a genuine team player Clinical (endorsed) psychologists and those with experience in a multicultural primary-care setting are particularly encouraged to apply.
