About us
Sunset Pier Café is a busy, community-focused café on Bribie Island serving breakfast, lunch and takeaway. We value reliability, teamwork and a positive attitude.
Key duties
- Assist with food preparation and basic assembly (salads, sandwiches, simple hot items)
- Wash and sanitize dishes, kitchen equipment and utensils (dish pit)
- Keep kitchen and prep areas clean, stocked and organised
- Receive and store deliveries, rotate stock and label ingredients
- Support cooks and baristas during service; keep busy during quiet periods
- Follow food safety, hygiene and WHS procedures
Skills & experience
- Previous kitchen hand experience required; café cooking experience an advantage
- Ability to work quickly and stay productive during busy shifts
- Basic food safety knowledge; current Food Handler or equivalent preferred
- Team player with a positive, can-do attitude
- Reliable, punctual and able to work weekends/public holidays
