About the role
We are currently seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join our maintenance team in a well-established role at our Cummins site. In this role, you will manage operational requirements to ensure plant and equipment is maintained to the highest standard and running efficiently, while focusing on safety. Maximising uptime is critical to ensuring we can deliver an efficient and reliable service to our customers.
This role will also provide you with day-to-day variety and problem solving, while also incorporating long term planning projects as part of our preventative and predictive maintenance programmes.
Duties
- Implement and conduct fault finding and repairs to electrical and pneumatic systems.
- Assist Mechanical staff with repairs to Diesel and 12V equipment.
- Assist in developing and implementing solutions and strategies to ensure the timely and effective response to equipment failures and breakdowns.
- Perform electrical (including PLC diagnostic) and repairs.
- Work with the maintenance manager to identify and implement plant improvements and future capital projects.
- Provide On Call support during shipping and harvest periods.
- Travel within the region assisting other teams as required.
- Execute the preventative maintenance program in line with terminal operations.
About you
- An Electrical workers licence Class A (South Australia)
- Have a willingness to learn bearing lubrication techniques.
- Competent in interpreting hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams
- Experience with hydraulic, electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems
- Experience maintaining fixed and mobile plant and equipment
- Willingness to Assist mechanical staff and learn new skills.
- Positive attitude and teamwork mindset.
- The ability to work at heights and within confined spaces
- Current drivers licence is essential
