About the Role
The National Allocations Consultant role is responsible for managing the national file allocations of
indemnified notifications and claims, ensuring that the right file is assigned to the right team/roles across the
Medical Indemnity business, Avant Law, and our external panel partners.
This role will work closely with Claims Managers, Team Leaders and Heads of Practice, MLA and Claims
Intake team, Avant Law, and Medical Advisory Services as well as external panel firms to ensure
appropriate allocation of work, in the best interest of our members.
This role is fundamental to ensuring we are HERE for our members, providing the operational effectiveness
in getting the right file to the right team.
Key Accountabilities
- Accountability 1: Allocating files nationally to the right team member/s across Avant Medical
Indemnity, and Avant Law, meeting service standards.
- Accountability 2: Identify and prioritise urgent matters, clearly communicating urgency as part of the
allocation process to ensure service standards and response timeframes are met.
- Accountability 3: Actively manage day-to-day variations in requests and requirements, applying
agreed manual workarounds and interim processes to complete tasks accurately
- Accountability4: Provide operational feedback and improvement suggestions to Claims Excellence
to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of allocation processes within the National Claims
framework.
Key Capabilities Required (Qualifications, Experience and Skills)
- Exposure to Medical Indemnity Claims process and operations
- Proficient in working across multiple systems and tools
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Communicate clearly and effectively with a broad range of stakeholders
Preferred Capabilities (Qualifications, Experience and Skills)
- Understanding of Medical Indemnity insurance
- Understanding of Medico Legal claim types
