MC Truck Driver – Small Family Business

We’re a small, family-owned company, who value our team, safety and reliability. We currently have an immediate start role. Week on, week off or full time, depending on the successful candidates preference. Flexibility to suit your need.
The Role
- Position: Truck Driver, Grain carting
- Subcontractor with ABN, high earning potential
- Schedule: Overnights away from home regional work
- Start date: ASAP
- Location: South West QLD, Darling Downs, North West NSW
What You’ll Do
- Safely operate a K-200 Kenworth, automatic, Big Cab with A double Trailers. Experience with a Dolly, desirable
- Collecting commodities from farm and delivering to local feedlots, grain holdings or Port of Brisbane
- Complete pre- and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate log
- Communicate clearly with dispatch and customers
- Care for equipment like it’s your own—report maintenance issues promptly
- Clean out trailers between loads.
What We’re Looking For
- Subcontractor with ABN
- Valid MC driver’s license
- 1+ year(s) of recent driving experience (we’ll consider newer drivers with great references)
- Experience with A Double trailers, highly desirable
- Knowledge of NHVR regulations, Basic Fatigue Management and log book requirements.
- Good time management
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Basic level of fitness
- Self Motivated and Autonomous
- Reliable, punctual, flexible, safety-first mindset with a customer-friendly attitude.
- Ability and willingness to be away from home for a minimum of 4-5 nights a week. Full time or week on week off available. Additional hours available for those who want them.
