About the Role
This OT position is for an experienced professional who wants to support the growth of a relatively new service. You’d be the second OT joining UCWB’s growing allied health services. Given this, there is genuine opportunity to shape the OT program and contribute to its continued growth and maturity within our Aged Care Services.
UCWB supports Older People living in their own homes, so home safety, mobility and assistive technology assessments will be required. We also know there’s so much more value that OTs can bring to the lives of older people beyond assessing & prescribing aids; we want to work with you to bring this to life.
About You
You will be someone who is sensitive to the particular needs of older people, and understand how OT intervention can support their physical, mental and social wellbeing. You might be someone looking to return to work in a reduced time capacity (parents and carers are welcome to apply), or you might be looking to diversify your work.
You will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, and current AHPRA registration as an
Occupational Therapist.
- Driver’s licence and your own vehicle with comprehensive insurance. Fleet cars are
usually available, however there may be times you are required to use your own vehicle
- you will be reimbursed mileage costs.
- DHS Working with Children Clearance
- National Police Clearance
You will have the ability to obtain clearances prior to commencement of employment.
You need to be physically fit to undertake the duties.
