The Albion Hotel is looking for a reliable and team-focused Casual Commis Chef who enjoys working in a lively kitchen and takes pride in serving consistent, quality pub food.

About the Role
As a Casual Commis Chef, you will support the Head Chef and wider kitchen team to deliver consistent, high-quality meals while maintaining strong kitchen standards throughout preparation and service.
Key responsibilities include:
· Supporting daily kitchen operations and assisting the Head Chef and senior kitchen team
· Preparing, cooking and presenting quality meals in line with venue standards
· Following recipes, portion controls and presentation guidelines to ensure consistency
· Completing food preparation and maintaining an organised workstation before, during and after service
· Upholding food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements
· Working collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams
· Performing calmly and efficiently during busy service periods
About You
You are a motivated and dependable team player who takes pride in your work. You bring a positive attitude, enjoy learning from experienced chefs and understand the importance of consistency in a busy hospitality kitchen.
We’re looking for someone with:
· Previous experience as a Commis Chef or cook, or relevant commercial kitchen experience
· A genuine passion for food and hospitality
· A strong work ethic, reliability and a team-first attitude
· The ability to stay organised and maintain quality under pressure
· Good communication skills and a willingness to learn
· Attention to detail and a commitment to food safety and cleanliness
· Flexibility to work casual shifts across a seven-day roster, including evenings and weekends
· Current working rights in Australia
