About the Position:
About Smiles Zetland is looking for an experienced dental assistant to join our team on a part-time basis 3 days a week plus 2 Saturdays per month.
Join our supportive and dynamic team in our modern 3-chair practice, where patient care is at the heart of everything we do. You’ll work alongside our Dentists and wider team to help deliver high-quality treatment and a great patient experience.
Our practice offers a diverse range of treatments, from general dentistry and routine check-ups through to cosmetic dentistry and implants, giving you the opportunity to work across a varied and interesting scope of dentistry.
Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care: Assist with patient management, including greeting patients, preparing them for procedures, and ensuring their comfort.

Clinical Support: Prepare and sterilise dental instruments, assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, and maintain a clean and organised treatment area.

Inventory Management: Monitor dental supplies levels, ensuring the treatment room is well-stocked and organised.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with dentists, hygienists, and other staff to ensure a smooth workflow and positive patient experience.

Compliance: Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols, as well as regulatory requirements in the dental practice.

What do you need to succeed:

Prior experience as a Dental Assistant is essential

A Cert III or IV in Dental Assisting is beneficial

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment

Capability to address patient concerns and resolve issues with professionalism and empathy
