From ECGs, Holter and event monitoring, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring and exercise stress testing, through to echocardiography and stress echocardiography, the service offers a diverse and evolving scope of practice. And this is just the beginning! With the opening of the new Cardiac Hybrid Theatre, the service is expanding into coronary angiography and interventional procedures, with pacemaker and ICD clinics also planned.

About the role:
Deliver independent, specialist transthoracic and stress echocardiography while providing expert clinical advice across complex cardiac presentations.
Take the clinical lead for Echocardiography, influencing service operations, governance, protocols, quality and safety.
Apply advanced clinical judgement and evidence-based practice across a complex caseload, while contributing to other cardiac investigations including ECG, pacing, stress testing and the Cardiac Cath Lab.
Lead clinical supervision, education, training and professional development to strengthen skills and capability across the Cardiac Investigations team.
Lead research, quality improvement and service development initiatives while influencing positive change across Rockhampton Hospital, CQ Health and beyond.
About you:
The successful applicant must be in possession of a qualification from a registered tertiary institution in a relevant science/applied science (or equivalent), with appropriate components of cardiac physiology/ physiology/ biomedical concepts.
Registration or eligibility for registration with the Australian Sonography Accreditation Registry (ASAR) is mandatory; other relevant qualifications are highly desirable.
Experience leading change and driving quality and service improvements through evidence-based practice within a multidisciplinary environment.
Advanced knowledge and skills in contemporary, evidence-based Echocardiography and Cardiac Investigations, with the ability to solve complex and emerging clinical challenges.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $172,615 p.a. is comprised of:
An hourly rate between $73.12 - $76.30 p.h.
12.75% employer superannuation contribution
