About the Role
Beyond Bricks Mandurah is looking for a reliable, hardworking and experienced Yard Hand & Forklift Operator to join our growing team.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in maintaining a safe, organised and efficient yard. You will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day movement of products, receiving and preparing goods, loading and unloading deliveries, and supporting our customers and team.
The successful applicant will also need to be flexible and willing to travel to our Bunbury branch when required to cover shifts.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and assist customers with their enquiries in person, by phone and via email.
Develop a good understanding of our products and provide helpful information to customers.
Communicate professionally and confidently with customers, clients and suppliers.
Learn use our point-of-sale (POS) system.
Receive and check incoming goods and deliveries.
Prepare and batch customer orders accurately and efficiently.
Load and unload trucks and customer vehicles safely.
Support the day-to-day operations of the business, including documentation, filing and general administration.
Assist the team with other duties and tasks as required.
Operate a forklift safely and confidently to move bricks, products and other materials.
Safely move, stack and organise heavy goods throughout the yard.
Assist customers with loading their purchases where required.
Maintain a clean, tidy and well-organised yard and work area.
Assist the team with general yard duties and other tasks as required.
Follow workplace health and safety procedures and safe manual-handling practices at all times.
Ensure products are stored and handled carefully to minimise damage.
Work efficiently as part of a team to support daily business operations.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
Experienced and confident in forklift operation.
Able to operate a forklift smoothly, safely and efficiently.
A current holder of a Forklift Licence (LF).
Physical work and capable of lifting, moving and stacking heavy goods.
Safety-conscious and committed to following workplace procedures.
Well organised with good attention to detail.
Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Friendly, professional and approachable when dealing with customers and colleagues.
Able to communicate clearly and respectfully.
Willing to assist with a range of duties across the yard and business.
A holder of a current driver's licence.
Flexible and available to work within our trading hours, including Saturdays.
Available for an immediate start.
