Gum Nut Gully Preschool is set in the beautiful bushland along the Mullum Mullum Trail in Doncaster East. We are an Exceeding rated centre and are a community run, parent managed, not for profit preschool. We run a bush kinder program and pride ourselves on a strong connection to community and the land. We are looking for a dedicated and experencied teacher for a short term, maternity leave position starting term 3 (14.07.2026) and concluding at the end of the 2026 preschool year. The position is for a four year old group on Tuesdays/ Wednesdays/ Fridays. The Lorikeet class has 20 children and you will be suitably assisted by an incredibly experienced Diploma qualified co-educator who has exceptional dedication in her role. You will also be assisted by a Inclusion support worker who has a strong passion as an ECT student. The suitable applicant will- Be responsible for the day to day operations of the kindergarten program Provide a program based on the strengths, skills and interests of the children Ensure the program adheres to the philosophy of the centre Be professionally and enthsiastically engaged in Bush kinder sessions Have a strong understanding of and uphold child safety principles, legislation, policy and frameworks related to early childhood education and care
Early Childhood teaching Degree as recognised by ACECQA VIT Registration First Aid training- Anaphylaxis/ Asthma Child Protection training
