Casual | Croydon | Approx. $35 per hour + super
We're looking for a warm, organised and reliable person to join our Client Care team at Playology, a paediatric allied health clinic in Croydon.
This is a casual role that will primarily involve short shifts of around three hours, making it a great fit for someone looking for flexible work around study, family or other commitments. We're also looking for someone who has some flexibility to work longer shifts from time to time to help cover team leave and absences.
About the Role
Our Client Care team is at the centre of the day-to-day running of Playology. They're often the first people families speak to, help keep appointments and clinicians organised, and make sure things run smoothly behind the scenes.
You'll work alongside our existing Client Care team and our Psychology, Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Responding to phone, email and in-person enquiries from families in a warm and professional way.
- Welcoming children, young people and families to the clinic.
- Managing appointments, bookings and clinician calendars.
- Supporting new client enquiries, intake and onboarding.
- Managing billing and invoicing, including Medicare and NDIS-related administration.
- Maintaining accurate client records and completing general clinic administration.
- Supporting clinicians and the broader team with day-to-day administrative tasks.
- Helping keep the clinic organised, welcoming and running smoothly.
Hours & Flexibility
This is a casual position, with regular shifts expected to be approximately three hours.
There will also be opportunities for additional and longer shifts, particularly when other Client Care team members are away or on leave.
Because of the shorter regular shifts, this role may particularly suit someone looking for work that fits around university, school hours, family commitments or another role.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Warm, friendly and comfortable communicating with children, young people and families.
- Organised, reliable and attentive to detail.
- Confident communicating by phone, email and in person.
- Comfortable using computers and able to learn new systems.
- Able to manage competing tasks and priorities in a busy environment.
- Calm and helpful when plans change or unexpected things come up.
- Able to work independently while also being part of a team.
- Respectful of different children, families, communication styles and ways of being.
- Eligible to work in Australia.
- Able to obtain and maintain a current Working with Children Check.
Experience
- Previous experience in administration, reception or customer service would be great, but experience in allied health isn't essential.
- Experience with healthcare administration, Medicare, NDIS or practice management software such as Halaxy is an advantage, but we're happy to teach the right person our systems and processes.
Playology will complete reference and National Police Checks as part of the recruitment process.
