Operate and Assist
Heidelberg Materials Australia is one of the country's leading suppliers of heavy building materials to the construction industry. We produce aggregates, including crushed rock, sand, gravel, and road base from a number of locations across Australia.
We are currently seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic Quarry Operator to join the team at our Bacchus Marsh Quarry in VIC .
This is a full-time position with overtime and weekend work according to business needs.
- Carry out day-to-day operation and light maintenance of plant and equipment
- Operate heavy equipment, including front-end loaders, dump trucks, and water trucks
- Grader experience is advantageous but not essential
- Experience with wash plant and slimes processing is advantageous but not essential
- Perform general labouring activities, including cleaning, hosing, and shovelling
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills
- A strong commitment to risk management and OH&S
- A positive work ethic and the ability to work within Heidelberg Materials' values and philosophies
- RII tickets
- Experience in quarrying, mining, or a similar industry
- The ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
- Hourly base rate from $34.01, dependent on experience, plus penalty rates and superannuation
- Monday to Friday, average hours 6:00am to 4:00pm
- Half-day Saturday shifts according to business requirements (approximately two per month, depending on workload)
