Current Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Disability Support Worker to support a participant on a temporary placement of approximately 3 months, with the potential for ongoing work.
Roster:
- Thursday: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
- Friday: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
- Saturday: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Please note that shift days and times may change depending on participant needs, so flexibility is essential.
Start Date: Thursday, 6 August 2026
About the Role
Responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with personal care and daily living activities
- Community access and social participation
- Meal preparation and light household duties
- Transport to appointments and activities
- Encouraging independence and achieving participant goals
- Completing accurate progress notes and documentation
Essential Requirements
To be considered, you must have:
- Previous experience as a Disability Support Worker
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Current National Police Check
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Current Infection Prevention and Control Certificate
- Current NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate ("Quality, Safety and You")
- Current Australian Driver Licence
- Reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A compassionate, reliable and professional approach to supporting people with disability
Desirable
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability), Aged Care, or equivalent
- Medication Administration training
- Manual Handling training
- Experience supporting participants with high or complex support needs
