The position is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair of commercial baking machinery (e.g., industrial ovens, mixers, dough dividers, proofers, conveyors, and packaging lines).
This role requires a multi-skilled technician with expertise in 3-phase industrial electrical systems, automated controls, and food-grade stainless steel fabrication/welding to ensure minimal downtime and strict compliance with food safety and operational standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesElectrical & Automation
- Diagnostics & Repair: Troubleshoot and repair electrical control panels, 12V–400V DC to 3-phase systems, AC/DC motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), heating elements, sensors, and safety interlocks.
- Schematics: Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, and PLC logic to quickly identify electrical faults.
- Calibrations: Calibrate temperature controllers, timers, and gas/electric burner controls on commercial ovens and proofers.
Fabrication & Mechanical Maintenance
- Welding & Fabrication: Perform TIG/MIG welding and custom metal fabrication (primarily on stainless steel and aluminum) to repair or modify machine frames, guards, chutes, and mounting brackets.
- Mechanical Systems: Overhaul and maintain mechanical components, including drive chains, sprockets, gearboxes, bearings, pneumatics, hydraulics, and high-temperature conveyor belts.
- Sanitary Design: Ensure all fabricated components and repairs adhere to food-grade sanitary standards (smooth welds, non-corrosive materials, no crevice points that trap food particles).
