T.V LAM & T.N NGUYEN is a family-owned farm located in South Australia. Since commencing operations in 2014, the farm has been dedicated to the cultivation and supply of fresh agricultural produce, providing high-quality and reliable products to the local market. The farm adopts efficient and sustainable farming practices, with a strong focus on producing high-quality products while maintaining effective crop management and quality control throughout the production process.
With years of experience in agricultural operations, TV LAM & TN NGUYEN is committed to maintaining high standards in farming practices, product quality, and food safety. The farm continues to improve its production methods and contribute to the local agricultural industry through responsible and sustainable farming.
This role will be responsible for:
· Maintain clear and up-to-date records of produce quality checks, identified issues, follow-up actions and other quality control activities to support farm operations and product traceability.
· Work with farm workers, packing staff and management to address quality concerns and identify practical ways to maintain and improve the quality of produce.
· Check fresh produce at different stages of harvesting, handling, packing and storage to ensure it remains in appropriate condition for packing and supply to market.
· Assess vegetables, fruits and other farm produce based on freshness, appearance, size, grading and general quality requirements.
· Monitor factors that may affect produce quality, such as pests, crop diseases, weather and environmental conditions, contamination and handling practices, and report identified risks to farm management.
· Perform regular checks on agricultural produce and identify damaged, unsuitable or non-conforming products requiring further action.
· Develop, review and maintain quality control procedures for harvesting, grading, handling, packing and storage activities, and monitor their implementation across farm operations.
· Provide practical advice to farm management and staff on maintaining produce standards, minimising product damage and improving handling and quality control practices.
· Monitor quality and hygiene practices during farming and post-harvest activities to help ensure food safety and appropriate handling requirements are consistently followed.
· Maintain relevant quality and compliance documentation and assist with monitoring the farm's relevant agricultural, food safety and biosecurity requirements.
In this role you will need:
· Previous experience in quality inspection, agricultural production, food safety, horticulture or a related area.
· Good knowledge of fresh produce quality assessment, including freshness, grading, size, condition and appropriate handling practices.
· Good understanding of food safety, hygiene and quality requirements relevant to fresh agricultural produce.
· Ability to identify product defects, quality concerns, pests, crop diseases and other factors that may affect produce quality.
· Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate inspection, quality and compliance records.
· Good communication skills and the ability to provide practical advice and work effectively with farm workers, packing staff and management.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a farm and outdoor environment.
· An Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Agriculture, Horticulture, Food Science, Quality Assurance or a related discipline.
