What's the role?
News Corp Australia is seeking a dynamic Business Reporter. This role will be at the forefront of the Australian business news cycle and is responsible for reporting on a diverse range of issues. These include high-stakes corporate lawsuits, liquidations and major deals, to the latest startup innovations, development projects, board-level shakeups and the economic trends shaping our future.
This role can be based out of any of our newsrooms across Australia.
We require a proactive journalist who can network effectively with business leaders, maintain a broad range of contacts and stay informed about business issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Break exclusive stories on liquidations, lawsuits and development.
Write engaging stories on businesses and entrepreneurs.
Build and maintain a strong network of contacts.
Monitor and report on business movements and trends across Australia.
Collaborate with the wider business team of journalists.
Who are you?
Experience in generating your own stories and breaking exclusive stories.
Strong writing, editing and communication skills.
Ability to analyse complex information and present it clearly and concisely.
Have an extensive network of contacts within the business community.
Skilled with digital media.
A keen interest in business, finance, and economic trends.
