What’s the opportunity?
Help shape the capability, safety and success of our workforce while building a rewarding career in training and development. As our operational Training Advisor, you'll play a key role in developing people across Northparkes through high quality training, assessment and capability programs that support safe and productive operations
This 12 month parental leave opportunity offers a highly sought after 4 day working week, delivering a long weekend every week while providing exposure across multiple operational departments. Whether you're an experienced trainer or an operational professional looking to transition into a training career, this role offers the opportunity to influence workforce capability, support apprentices and trainees, and contribute directly to the future success of Northparkes.
Based at our Northparkes Operations and reporting to the Operational Training Coordinator, you'll:
- Build workforce capability by delivering engaging training, assessments and learning programs across site operations.
- Support safe and compliant operations by maintaining training standards, competency requirements and legislative compliance
- Create and improve learning resources, training materials and assessment tools that drive consistent outcomes across the operation.
- Influence employee development through mentoring, coaching and support for new starters, apprentices, trainees and operational personnel
- Partner with leaders across site to identify capability gaps and deliver practical training solutions that support business performance.

Does this sound like you?
- Experience in training, assessment, workforce development or operational leadership.
- Hands on operational experience within mining, processing, maintenance or a related industrial environment.
- Workplace Assessor Skillset or equivalent capability.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage people at all levels.
- Sound Microsoft Office skills and the ability to manage training records and documentation.
- A commitment to safety, compliance and developing others.
- Current Driver's Licence.
- A Cert IV in Training and Assessment, Learning Management Systems (LMS) experience, SAP Business System knowledge or previous mining training experience will be highly regarded.
