Boarding Facility Manager
Full time role based in Ellen Grove and Kholo in South-East Queensland.
Dolittles is seeking an organised and hands-on Boarding Facility Manager to oversee the day to day operations of the Animal Boarding Facilities.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for ensuring the following operations are efficiently coordinated on site and completed in full, within timeframes.
1. Animal Welfare:
- Ensure animal husbandry procedures are completed, such as, but not limited to inducting animals, feeding, watering, cleaning, exercising, completing daily kennel documentation and administering medication.
- Daily animal welfare and kennel checks
2. Team Management:
- Managing rosters and approving time sheets and leave within timeframes
- Day-to-Day management of all team members
- Recruiting, onboarding and offboarding team members
- Delivering induction training and developing team members capability
- Ensuring safe work procedures are followed, a safe environment is maintained and issues escalated
3. Business Management:
- Develop and implement business strategies to achieve organizational goals
- Manage budgets and financial plans
- Ensure bookings, cancellations, financials and animal details are completed in full on the Management system.
- Stock management
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
- Identify and address business opportunities and challenges
- Management Reporting
4. Customer Service excellence
5. Manage Property, Facilities, and Equipment
Capabilities (Knowledge, skills & experience) required for the role

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong business acumen
- Experience managing a business and/or coordinating a pet management facility
- High level of time management and organization, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to manage a team efficiently.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Intermediate in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Initiative for problem solving and a leadership attitude.
- Experience in animal husbandry skills and basic property and kennel maintenance.
