We’re now looking for a Part Time Early Childhood Teacher to join our vibrant team and help create inspiring learning experiences for young children.
This role is a fixed term role, commencing on the 12th of October 2026 and concluding on the 12th of April 2027 with the potential for opportunities to become available beyond this time.

For over fifty years, A G Leech Kindergarten has stood as a cornerstone of community connection and children-focused learning that brings all families together in a space shaded by a large tree as old as the kinder. Our passionate team of supportive educators are ready to welcome someone who brings these values and more to an ever-changing space filled with laughter and learning.
Role Details:
Early Childhood Teacher
Fixed Term Dates: 12th October 2026 to 12th April 2027
Session Times: Monday, Thursday, Friday - 9:00am to 2:00pm
15 contact hours + 7.5 non-contact hours = 22.5 hours per week.
What You’ll Do
As a valued member of our teaching team, you’ll:
- Support play-based learning programs that nurture each child’s growth and development
- Build warm, respectful relationships with children, families, and fellow educators
- Create safe, inclusive environments where every child feels seen, supported, and inspired
- Work collaboratively with your team to deliver exceptional education and care
What You’ll Bring
- Current qualification in early childhood teaching and current registration with VIT
- A genuine interest in supporting children’s development and commitment to ongoing learning
- Current Working With Children's Check, First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain)
- Great teamwork, communication, and reliability
