We are looking for Room attendants / Housepersons to cover shift availability across a 7-day roster, of which may include evening hours, or early mornings which will have the applicable shift loading applied in alignment with the Hospitality Industry General Award (HIGA) 2020.
Some roles we are looking to fill require travel to different sites within Canberra.
About you - what you will need to be successful:
- Experience working in a professional cleaning/housekeeping/ houseman capacity preferred
- This position requires an individual with the willingness to work flexible hours, an ability to manage their own time to meet deadlines, and also to be able to work with a team and collaborate.
- Training in the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment is an advantage, but not essential
- Experience using commercial or industrial cleaning products and equipment preferred
- You have strong attention to detail, are able to multi task
- You are friendly and able to communicate in English
- Provide excellent customer service where appropriate
- General cleaning duties ( including but no limited to: mopping floors, cleaning up spills, sweeping and vacuuming, wiping and dusting, cleaning windows, toilets and toilets facilities, polishing, decanting of cleaning chemicals, operation of cleaning equipment, emptying rubbish receptacles, replacing bin liners and disposing of bagged waster in the correct location, and other general cleaning tasks as instructed by the Queen of Clean and Housekeeping leadership team.
- Proof of right to work in Australia (Passport/Australian Birth Certificate/valid visa)
- Valid Australian Driver Licence
- Be available from Monday to Sunday.
