Sorsi e Morsi is a beloved little Italian - Australian café/restaurant in St Kilda, known for simple food and a warm neighbourhood feel. We’re on the lookout for a chef to join our tight-knit kitchen team for dinner service.
The role
- Dinner shifts, Wednesday to Sunday
- Permanent position — part-time or full-time available depending on your availability (35-38 hours)
What you’ll be doing
- Preparing and executing our dinner menu to consistently high standards
- Managing your section with speed, care and attention to detail during service
- Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and compliant with food safety standards
- Collaborating with the team with prep, stock, and day-to-day running of service
What we’re looking for
- Solid experience in a similar restaurant or café kitchen
- A genuine interest in Italian food and cooking with seasonal ingredients
- Someone reliable, calm under pressure, and comfortable working as part of a small team
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
