About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused, and hardworking Precast Concrete Worker to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality precast concrete products in accordance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and workplace safety requirements. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Concrete Production
- Prepare, clean, and assemble moulds and formwork for precast concrete products.
- Read and interpret shop drawings, production schedules, and engineering specifications.
- Measure, mix, pour, and finish concrete to required standards.
- Place reinforcement steel, mesh, lifting anchors, and embedded items according to drawings.
- Operate concrete batching, mixing, and pouring equipment safely and efficiently.
- Vibrate and compact concrete to remove air pockets and achieve required density.
- Monitor curing processes and ensure products meet specified strength requirements.
Product Finishing & Quality Control
- Strip moulds and remove finished products without causing damage.
- Repair minor surface defects and perform patching, grinding, or finishing work as required.
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure dimensional accuracy and product compliance.
- Identify and report defects, quality concerns, and production issues.
- Maintain production records and quality documentation.
Equipment & Maintenance
- Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, lifting devices, and power tools safely (where licensed and authorised).
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of tools, moulds, and equipment.
- Inspect equipment before use and report any faults or safety concerns.
- Assist with mould modifications, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Safety & Housekeeping
- Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Identify workplace hazards and actively contribute to a safe work environment.
Essential Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of precast concrete manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Understanding of concrete placement, finishing, curing, and quality control procedures.
- Experience working with reinforcing steel, embeds, and formwork systems.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.
- Knowledge of safe lifting and rigging practices.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform repetitive manual tasks.
- Capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling heavy materials.
- Comfortable standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working outdoors when required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications
Required
- Previous experience in precast concrete, construction, manufacturing, or a related industry.
- Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening if required.
Preferred
- Forklift licence.
- Truck licence
- Overhead crane ticket/certification.
- Rigging or dogging certification.
- Concrete finishing experience.
- Working at heights certification.
- Confined space certification.

Pay: $30.00 – $34.00 per hour
