We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Housekeeper to join our team and help maintain the high standards our guests expect.
About the Role
As a Commercial Housekeeper, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest accommodation, public areas and staff facilities to ensure a safe, hygienic and welcoming environment.
The successful applicant will take pride in their work, have a strong attention to detail and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and service guest rooms, cabins and accommodation units.
- Make beds and replace linen and towels.
- Clean bathrooms, kitchens and living areas.
- Vacuum, mop, sweep and dust accommodation and public areas.
- Clean reception, dining and common areas.
- Replenish guest amenities and housekeeping supplies.
- Report maintenance issues and damaged property.
- Handle and store cleaning chemicals safely.
- Assist with laundry duties including washing, drying and folding linen.
- Maintain housekeeping equipment and storage areas.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
- Ensure accommodation is presented to a high standard for guest arrivals.
Skills and Experience
Essential
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work weekends and public holidays as required.
Desirable
- Previous housekeeping, cleaning or accommodation experience.
- Experience working in hotels, motels, caravan parks or tourism facilities.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures.
- First Aid Certificate.
- Experience working in remote or regional locations.
