Ambience Bakery Cafe is a much-loved local spot in Cobram, known for great coffee, fresh food, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We're looking for a Front of House Supervisor to help lead our team and keep our business running smoothly every day.
About the Role
As Front of House Supervisor, you'll be the face of Ambience Bakery Cafe, overseeing the front-of-house team, serving customers, and making sure every shift runs smoothly. You'll balance hands-on service — including barista work and food prep — with supervising staff, managing stock, and keeping quality standards high.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support front-of-house staff throughout each shift
- Prepare food and serve customers to a high standard
- Make and serve coffee (barista duties)
- Monitor and maintain quality control across food, drinks, and service
- Manage stock levels and ordering for the front area
- Organise daily procedures and delegate tasks to staff
- Ensure a friendly, efficient, and welcoming customer experience
- Communicate effectively with both team members and customers
What We're Looking For
- Previous hospitality experience is preferred
- Barista experience preferred (training available for the right candidate)
- Strong communication skills with both staff and customers
- A vibrant, bubbly, and friendly personality
- Loyal, trustworthy, and reliable
- Honest with a strong work ethic
- Ability to stay organised and lead a team during busy periods
