CR Powered by Epiroc is looking for a Technical Specilaist – GET to support our industry-leading cast lips and Ground Engaging Tool (GET) product range across Western Australia.
This is a highly hands-on, field-focused technical role where you’ll work directly with mine sites, fabrication workshops, and customers to improve product performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide expert technical support across some of WA’s largest mining operations.
Based out of our Welshpool office, this role offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement when not travelling to customer sites, bucket shops, or mine operations.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers and fabrication workshops
- Conducting inspections and technical assessments of mining buckets, GET systems, lips, and structural assets
- Supporting improvements in product reliability, wear performance, and service life
- Investigating failures and identifying practical corrective actions
- Providing technical guidance on welding methodology, fitment standards, and repair quality
- Interpreting wear patterns, operational issues, and field performance data
- Working closely with Engineering, Product Management, Sales, and Operations teams
- Building strong relationships with customers and becoming a trusted technical advisor across WA operations
What We’re Looking For
- Experience within mining, heavy industry, fabrication, or mobile equipment environments
- Strong technical understanding of welding, fabrication, structural repairs, or heavy maintenance practices
- Ability to investigate problems, analyse failures, and develop practical solutions
- Confidence communicating with engineers, tradespeople, site personnel, and customers
- A proactive, organised, and solutions-focused mindset
- Ability to work independently and manage field-based technical activities
- Willingness to travel regularly to mine sites and fabrication workshops across WA
We value practical experience, technical capability, and strong problem-solving skills. Ideal backgrounds include Mechanical, Reliability, Product Support, Field Service, or Mining Maintenance Engineers, Heavy Fabrication Specialists, Technical Mining Advisors, or experienced tradespeople with strong technical and customer-facing experience in mining fabrication or GET systems.
Desirable Experience
- Experience with mining buckets, lips, or GET systems
- Exposure to failure analysis, reliability, or asset integrity work
- Customer-facing technical support experience
- Engineering qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines
- Experience working within heavy mining maintenance environments
