Primary objective
Responsible for analysing, validating and improving business data to support the successful implementation, optimisation and
ongoing operation of the Health Procurement System (HPS).
The position will provide data analysis, reporting capability and data quality support across procurement, inventory, catalogue and
system integration activities to ensure accurate information is available for decision-making, testing and operational management.
Context statement
NT Health is implementing Technology One to modernise procurement, inventory and warehouse management capability across
the northern regions. The rollout supports replacement of legacy Qantel processes, improved catalogue governance, inventory
visibility, lot and expiry controls, GS1 barcode scanning, fixed reorder quantities, recall traceability and a more consistent hub-and-
spoke distribution model across Top End, Big Rivers and East Arnhem. The successful implementation of HPS requires accurate,
standardised and reliable data to support system configuration, migration, testing, reporting and operational decision-making.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Analyse and validate HPS data including catalogue, inventory, supplier, procurement and transaction information.
2. Identify data quality issues, inconsistencies and gaps and support data cleansing and improvement activities.
3. Develop, maintain and enhance reports, dashboards and analytical outputs to support business requirements.
4. Support system testing activities including data validation, reconciliation, defect analysis and verification of outcomes.
5. Assist with reporting requirements, data definitions and business rules to improve data governance.
6. Analyse trends and provide insights to support project decisions, operational improvements and system optimisation.
7. Collaborate with project teams, system administrators and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver
effective data solutions.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Demonstrated experience analysing, validating and reporting on business data within a complex operational environment.
2. Demonstrated ability to identify data quality issues, investigate discrepancies and develop practical solutions.
3. Experience developing reports, dashboards or analytical outputs to support business decision-making.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and identify trends.
5. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver data solutions.
6. Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines and contribute effectively within a project environment.
Desirable
1. Experience with TechnologyOne, ERP systems, procurement systems or inventory management systems.
2. Experience with reporting tools such as TechnologyOne XLOne, Power BI, SQL or similar analytics platforms.
3. ITIL Foundation Certificate
