Student Life
The Student Life Directorate delivers services and evidence-based programs for current students that aims to contribute to improved health and wellbeing; as well as supporting students to succeed in their higher education studies. The Directorate has three major teams focused on (1) Health and Wellbeing; (2) Students course advice, course progress and success; and (3) Student Experience and Student Voice. The Directorate focuses on taking a person-centred approach when engaging with students; collaboration across Schools and Directorates and continuous quality improvement to make a transformational and meaningful impact on students experience at University.
About the Opportunity
Collaborating with a range of ECU stakeholders, the Student Hub Coordinator is responsible for leading the delivery of an excellent student experience based on quality, customer-focused outcomes with an emphasis on continuous improvement and implementation of proactive cohort specific projects and tasks.
The Student Hub Coordinator provides day to day operational leadership, guidance and supervision for Student Advisers and Senior Student Advisers. They act as an escalation point for addressing and resolving more complex individual student issues through case management.
This short-term backfill position provides an excellent opportunity for a candidate to strengthen their leadership skills, gain greater insight into student-related processes, and actively support initiatives that drive continuous improvement and enhance the student experience.

About you
The successful candidate will have:
Experience in using leadership and management techniques to maximise effectiveness of a team
Strong customer service, networking and relationship building skills
Extensive knowledge of student administrative processes, support services and student systems
Complex problem solving and decision-making skills
Continuous improvement and change embracing approach to the workplace
A passion for making a difference to student experience
You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University’s values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Personal Excellence and Courage.
