What you'll be doing
As part of the Hornsby CYMHS reception and administration team, the Administration Officer is often the first point of contact for children, young people, families, and carers accessing mental health support.
Day-to-day, this role is about creating a welcoming, safe, and professional environment while keeping the service running smoothly behind the scenes.
This role is much more than administration — it’s about helping young people and families feel safe, heard, and supported from their very first contact.
You’ll play a key part in:
Shaping positive first impressions of the service
Enabling clinicians to focus on care delivery
Keeping a vital community mental health service running smoothly
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria

Highly professional phone manner and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Well-developed computer skills including accurate data entry skills.

Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Ability to be self-motivated with good time management skills.

Demonstrated flexibility with work duties and location.
