Disability Support Worker – Community & In-Home Support

Adorable Living Pty Ltd is seeking compassionate, reliable and motivated Disability Support Workers to join our growing team. This role involves providing person-centred support to NDIS participants in their homes and the community, promoting independence, dignity and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver person-centred support in accordance with individual support plans.
- Assist with personal care and daily living activities.
- Support community access, appointments and social participation.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning.
- Administer medications in line with organisational policies.
- Perform light housekeeping and maintain a safe, clean environment.
- Safely transport participants using your own reliable vehicle.
- Assist participants with everyday decision-making while promoting choice and independence.
- Complete accurate shift notes, incident reports and other required documentation.
- Maintain participant confidentiality and professional boundaries.
- Follow safe manual handling practices and infection control procedures.
About You
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Genuine passion for supporting people with disability.
- Physically fit and able to participate in light recreational activities and community outings.
- Able to build positive, respectful relationships with participants.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
- Flexible and available to work day, evening, overnight (active/night), and sleepover shifts.
Essential Requirements
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability), Individual Support, Community Services, or equivalent.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card).
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
- Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) certificates.
- Current NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate.
- Current Infection Prevention and Control certificate.
- Valid Australian Driver Licence.
- Own reliable vehicle with comprehensive motor vehicle insurance and willingness to transport participants.
- Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Australian working rights.
