PART-TIME CHEF / COOK - Tres Mexican – Seaford, VIC
Tres Mexican is looking for an experienced and reliable Chef/Cook to join our kitchen team on a part-time/Casual basis.
We are looking for someone who is confident in a busy kitchen, can work under pressure, and is capable of taking responsibility for the smooth operation of the kitchen during their shifts.
About the Role
You will be responsible for:
- Preparing and cooking food to our recipes and quality standards
- Managing kitchen operations during your shifts
- Maintaining food quality, presentation and consistency
- Working efficiently during busy service periods
- Following food safety, hygiene and workplace standards
- Assisting with stock management and kitchen organisation
- Taking responsibility for the kitchen and supporting other kitchen staff
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- 2–4 years of relevant commercial kitchen experience
- Previous experience working as a Chef/Cook in a busy restaurant environment
- Strong knowledge of food preparation and kitchen procedures
- The ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure
- The confidence and capability to run the kitchen responsibly during service
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A reliable, hardworking and positive attitude
- High standards of cleanliness, organisation and food safety
- Availability to work evenings and weekends is essential
