About the role

Through our services and programs, we support people in Townsville who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of homelessness to build stability, maintain their housing, and strengthen connection to their communities.
We have an opportunity for an experienced and passionate Manager to lead our housing and homelessness prevention programs that create meaningful and lasting outcomes for vulnerable individuals and families.
Day to day, you will
In this role, you will oversee the delivery, performance and continuous improvement of multiple programs focused on supporting people to maintain their housing and avoid homelessness. You will provide leadership to program teams, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure services are delivered effectively, safely and in line with funding and organisational requirements.
What you will bring:
- Deep understanding of the homelessness sector, including contemporary challenges, opportunities and best practice approaches
- Significant experience leading operational teams and building positive, engaged and high-performing teams
- Proven success implementing new ways of working, and securing stakeholder buy-in across diverse environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to research and interpret complex information to drive continuous improvement and optimise service delivery models
- Demonstrated ability to develop both long-term strategic plans and practical operational solutions
- Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence, build rapport and communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusive service delivery and experience supporting people from diverse backgrounds and communities, including First Nations peoples, culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities, and LGBTIQ+ individuals
