About the role:
We're seeking a Class 2 Driver with energy, reliability, and a can-do attitude to join PlaceMakers Gisborne.

In this role, you'll be the face of our business, delivering building products safely and on time to our customers across the region, while also supporting our Yard & Drive Thru operations to help keep the branch running smoothly.
This is a varied, hands-on role for someone who enjoys being on the move, takes pride in great customer service, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves. Whether you're making deliveries, helping customers find and load products in the Yard & Drive Thru, or supporting stock movement and yard operations, you'll play a key part in helping our customers get the job done.
Daily responsibilities include:

Delivering building products safely and on time across the Gisborne region

Loading, unloading, and securing products for delivery

Providing outstanding customer service on every job

Assisting customers in the Yard & Drive Thru

Picking orders, replenishing stock, and supporting stock movements

Using yard systems to process orders and track inventory

Maintaining a safe, tidy, and organised yard

Supporting the wider team and contributing to a strong safety culture
This is a permanent role, offering 45 hours per week, working Monday – Friday with rostered Saturdays based in our Gisborne Branch
Skills & Experience
We're looking for someone who:

Holds a full, clean Class 2 NZ Driver Licence

Is confident driving in tight spaces, tricky driveways, and active construction sites

Has excellent people skills, a cool head, and a customer-first mindset

Is physically fit and comfortable with regular manual handling and heavy lifting

Has a strong commitment to health and safety and a reliable, positive attitude
It would be advantageous if you also have:
- A current Forklift Licence (F Endorsement)
- A Class 4 Licence
- Hiab experience and/or relevant NZQA Hiab Unit Standards
