We are seeking a motivated and reliable Apprentice Maintenance Fitter to join our team In Dingley Village. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in mechanical maintenance and engineering trades while gaining hands-on experience and formal training.
Working alongside experienced tradespeople, you will learn how to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment and machinery in a safe and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist qualified fitters with maintenance and repair work
- Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment
- Learn to diagnose mechanical faults and breakdowns
- Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment safely
- Read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures
- Complete apprenticeship training and coursework requirements
About You
- Genuine interest in mechanical trades and maintenance
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Mechanically minded with problem-solving ability
- Reliable, punctual, and safety focused
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
- Driver’s licence preferred but not essential
Requirements
- Completion of Year 10 or equivalent
- Commitment to completing a trade apprenticeship
- Basic maths and literacy skills
- Previous workshop or mechanical experience highly regarded
